If I take Profase apart from Biofase is this wrong?

by Rob

I will start with candida treatment soon, but I am not sure about the timing of taking Profase. I've heard before to take probiotics on empty stomach, which is written here, but my actual question is why would I take Profase together with Biofase, and herbs 30 min later, as directed.

In the other hand, on this site is written the 3 steps in natural treatment plan:
step 1 - remove biofilm with enzymes first
step 2 - use strong antifungal herbs to kill the yeast
step 3 - add probiotics or for repopulation

It means that we should take Biofase first, herbs and Microfase 30 min later, and then probiotics Profase I guess 30 min later but still 30 min before meal, or maybe 2h after meal, but not together with enzymes as the first thing. That would actually make more sense to me according to these 3 steps.

So what is the rule I should apply here and time I would take Biofase, herbs and probiotics? Would it make sense to take Microfase apart from Biofase maybe after taking Microfase or 2-3h after meal?

You can take Profase as you suggest if it fits your schedule better, for most people it does not. Some people take all three together because it fits their schedule and still have excellent results. The main thing is to take a probiotic that actually works for Candida yeasts.

After 10 days those bacterial populations from the probiotic become established at that level. As the biofilm and yeast is removed those bacteria and the bacteria already present in your gut, will attach to the intestinal wall, which prevents re-attachment by the yeast. Eventually, as the Candida is eliminated and the bacteria attach to these areas, you achieve long term relief.

For maximum effects, it is best to take probiotics away from food as well otherwise they will help digest that food.

Taking Microfase with Biofase will result in some of those enzymes digesting the fiber in the herbs, which of course is not the effect we are looking for; we want those enzymes focused on removing biofilms. But, you can still achieve a good result although it may take longer.

Hopefully that answered your questions but if not, or if you have other questions, let me know.

I have pretty good understanding now, but still I want to know everything that I can, so much information out there, but still candida poses big problem for everyone, it really messes up with quality of life, and there is only alternative or holistic approach for treatment.
So I can also take Profase 30 min before Biofase and achieve same results in the same sense.

However, I read everything about probiotics on this site, and it's said that if you have really bad dysbiosis it can take years to establish the gut flora back to normal with high dose of probiotics per day, or perhaps even better to do fecal transplant.

Before you just mentioned that after 10 days those bacterial populations from the probiotic become established at that level. What do you actually mean by only 10 days if it can take years?

If you are taking four Profase a day that is 120 to 160 billion bacteria per day and after 10 days that level is established in your gut. If you continue to take the same amount daily that established level will stay at that level. If you stop taking the probiotic, after 10 to 14 days all those bacteria are gone, they all die.

All probiotics are this way, basically the ability of those bacteria to repopulate and establish new long lasting colonies is lost during the manufacturing process. They only work while you are taking them and will perform tasks in the gut that your bacteria populations cannot, which is typically due to low numbers or imbalances.

In time your own bacteria levels will increase but this can take a year or more in some cases. Sometimes a fecal matter transplant will be needed to re-establish a diversity of species.

Any other questions let me know.

What you think about probiotic fermented veggies or fruit, foods like kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi... I remember my grandma was fermenting cabbage and an old saying was if you eat fermented food you live longer... It seems promising, fermented food has much more live bacteria than one capsule of supplement, probably we are talking in trillions or quadrillions (not billions) in just few spoons.

I have been drinking kefir for a while, but seems like on its own can't battle the yeast, but in combination with enzymes and herbs could be maybe faster to repopulate the gut with healthy bacteria, to restore the gut. Do you have any experience in this field?

You can consume kefir, sauerkraut, and kimchi if you choose too but be aware that these products can contain yeasts as well, and could cause infections in immuno-compromised individuals. For instance, the yeast S. boulardii, which is simply the commercial name for Saccharomyces cerevisiae , has been found to cause 40% of Saccharomyces cerevisiae infections since 1990 because of probiotic use.

I do not know with 100% certainty if the bacteria in fermented foods will populate the gut permanently, no one does. We suspect the effects will be similar to taking probiotics, which work while you are taking them. The species present might not be the best for getting rid of yeasts either because not all bacteria have this effect.

Long term, if you are healthy and can tolerate these foods, they could be beneficial. However, if you have a history of Candida infections, I would be hesitant to take them because they could cause an infection as well.
