I have yeast intolerance and some of the things I was advised to not take are berries. Can I still do this protocol?

Hi there, I have H. pylori and really want to get on this protocol. Just read that berberine and uva ursi are berries, and that the plant tannins contain red grape extract. I have been avoiding berries in all shapes and form because of my yeast intolerance (known from the York Test). Can I still do this protocol? I really hope I can.

According to this study on the presence of molds on berries and certain fruits, they are often contaminated with molds and certain species of yeasts. If you are going to eat them fresh, I would wash them thoroughly before eating.

As far as supplements go, the ingredients in the supplement will be an extract from the berry. Typically, the materials used for supplements are tested for molds and yeasts before encapsulation. They are tested again after encapsulation to make sure no impurities polluted the product during the manufacturing process.

In the United States, if the label says the product does not contain yeast, you can be assured that there isn't any yeast in the product.
