Hi. I am in a real predicament. About 10 days ago I broke both of my wrists. I have a history of mild to moderate psoriasis and was dx last year with dyshidrotic eczema. I am in my 50’s. My hands are also very sensitive to soaps, sanitizers and other external products. I am on a steroidal ointment which helps me a lot, but as your article has indicated, not cured it.
Although I have been trying to keep my skin clean on my fingers and palms, yeast and yellow plaque is present. My skin is very dry and flaky. Thank goodness I have not had splitting or cuts but I have a rash on my palms and redness from what I can see. I am very concerned when I get surgery and get casted as I will not be able to clean my hands properly and use cream or get things wet. I am extremely sensitive to hand sanitizers.. my surgeon seemed to ignore my concerns with my hands. They were not as bad at the time as it is now. Help!
Comments for How do I clean my hands if they are in a cast?
