How do I treat myself for resistant CandidaTropicalis?

by Charlotte
(California)

Took Biofase and Profase last year and probiotics; didn't help because of intense sugar cravings so I didn't follow the diet very well. Problem started in mouth and tongue. Dr. has prescribed Nystatin and Fluconazole. I used herbals - tried detoxing, and I am at the end with treatments. I now have joint pains and depression - am I going to die ??

Fluconazole is the drug of choice for C. tropicalis but itraconazole, posaconazole, voriconazole, the enchinocandins, and Amphotericin B can all have positive effects. All your doctor has to do is take a sample, send it to a lab and they can determine what drug would work the best. If your doctor can't help, go see an Infectious Disease doctor.

Or, consider taking Biofase, Profase with Microfase again but if you do that, you have to follow the diet. The sugar cravings usually subside in about 3 weeks as your body re-adjusts to using fats for fuel instead of carbohydrates.

If you decide on taking Biofase, Profase and Microfase again, the possibility exists that you might have to take higher doses. I see this occasionally with extremely resistant infections. Although I usually suggest 3 Biofase, 2 Profase, and 2 Microfase two times a day, you might have to double those doses.

You could also do one of the stool tests I suggest on this webpage yourself. I prefer the Doctors Data test because if the yeast is detected at pathogenic levels they will test drugs and herbs to see what kills it. You could then take Biofase/Profase with the drugs or herbs that worked the best while following the diet.

Any other questions let me know.
