One pomegranate provides 234 calories, 4.7g of protein, 52.7g of carbohydrates, 38.6g of sugar, and 3.3g of fat. Pomegranate seeds, or arils, are a very good source of fiber and are rich in potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, and calcium.

With these high levels of carbohydrates and sugars I would not eat a whole pomegranate on the Candida diet.

You can buy various pomegranate products with serving sizes that are smaller than a whole pomegranate. Typically a serving size is a quarter cup. Many of these products have no added sugar but they still come in at 29g of carbohydrates with 26 of those grams coming from sugar.

These sugar levels are to high when following the Candida diet. You're better off with blackberries, blueberries, cherries, cranberries, plums, apricots, raspberries, and strawberries. A green banana would also have less carbs and sugars.

Any other questions let us know.
